‘Coming Out Of Barstow’ Documentary

A eye opening documentary that explores the extreme gang violence deaths in Barstow, CA.  Barstow is a small town an hour outside of Las Vegas, and it is shocking to see it has a sizable African American community, and even more shocking to find out that most of them identify as Crips or Bloods, and they all attend the one high school in the city and have nowhere to run.  But the real heart of the story is a ex-gangbanger called "Dub" who wants to do something about it and is working for a truce culture and unity with the help of the city's black mayor.  Dub is working to create a national movement right out of Barstow.  Directed and Filmed by filmmaker Tim Alexander, Edited by Tim And Karen Alexander, and executive produced by Barstow's own Idris "Dub" Woods.
